Abstract
A one-hour, immersive/interactive musical deep-dive into the 4 primary stages of the Alchemical Magnum Opus: Nigredo, Albedo, Citrinitas, and Rubedo. Come contemplate, drift, and create together in this workshop/journey aiming to provide a temporary autonomous spiritual zone for self and conference/radio listening community. Creative automatism is encouraged, with materials for sketching/collage/writing provided.
Presenter Biography
Lijane Davis is an artist, nature educator, radio DJ, animist, and psychedelic integration facilitator. In the past, she worked programming human rights related film screenings with the International TV & Film Exchange in NYC and experimental films for the Detroit Independent Film Festival, was a former assistant to artist/musician Tony Conrad, and has had cinema reviews appearing in various publications. As a misfit seeker, she has studied Soto Zen Buddhism, deep ecology, and a variety of folk and occult magickal traditions for over 30 years. Her lifework is to promote wonder, creativity, healing, and ecological care. She currently hosts the bi-weekly radio show, Alchemists of Sound, on the Philadelphia-based gtownradio.com.
