Working Groups

The Program for the Evolution of Spirituality offers annual Working Groups open to interested scholars, practitioners, and artists. 

These groups are designed to advance our mission of supporting the scholarly study of emerging spiritual movements, marginalized spiritualities, and the innovative edges of established religious traditions. By exploring a diverse range of interrelated topics, we aim to foster a collaborative community working at the intersection of scholarly, creative, and spiritual practice.

While each group is centered around our upcoming annual conference, their scope often extends well beyond the event—and sometimes into the following year. Sign-ups for these Working Groups open in September, and participants are welcome to join multiple groups to engage with the full range of topics offered. After the sign-up period, those interested in joining open groups may contact pes@hds.harvard.edu for more information.
