Abstract

Workshop: Explore the way art is a catalyst of spirituality for both the creator and receiver. Artmaking is an intentional way to care for ourselves, and our creations bring a “spot of beauty” into the world, connecting inner care with reciprocal acts of creating and giving. This process was developed with a multi-faith non-profit that provides spiritual care to the unhoused. Workshop participants will create their own small works of art, and discuss the potential of art as a reciprocal way of creating, giving, and receiving beauty as a form of spiritual care. Supplies are provided and no art experience required.
