Between Ideals and Institutions: The Question of Integrity in Steiner-Informed Education

This presentation explores how Steiner-informed education can maintain pedagogical integrity within contemporary educational contexts. Drawing on lived teaching experience across international settings, including both classroom and online environments, it examines the relationship between foundational pedagogical intentions and the practical realities of institutional, regulatory, and technological change. As educational systems increasingly emphasize standardization, accountability, and digital integration, Steiner-informed approaches are often positioned at the margins of mainstream discourse. This study considers how these approaches can engage responsibly with contemporary frameworks without losing their essential orientation toward the development of the human being. Particular attention is given to the role of the teacher, whose preparation and inner orientation are central to sustaining meaningful educational practice. The presentation invites a reconsideration of how integrity, responsibility, and adaptability can coexist in education today.
