Choosing Faith in a World of Choice: Designing a Multifaith Practice-Matching Platform for Modern Spiritual Seekers

Abstract
As religious inheritance gives way to secular, multicultural upbringings, many spiritual seekers face a “choice problem”: how to find faith practices aligned with their values, identities, and mental-health needs. This presentation introduces Seek, a proposed multifaith practice-matching platform that combines user research, AI-assisted databases, and qualitative follow-ups to match individuals with compatible spiritual traditions. Drawing from lived experience, conflict resolution, and design research, the project examines how values alignment, trauma-informed care, and accountability can be integrated into spiritual ecosystems. The talk explores ethical design questions at the intersection of spirituality, technology, and pluralism.
Presenter Biography
Anupriya Kukreja is a social psychologist, design researcher, and product builder working at the intersection of technology, culture, spirituality, creativity, and peacebuilding. She applies behavioral science to product design and is building a multifaith practice-matching platform. She is also a music producer, DJ, and spirituality writer.
