Abstract

Artist Talk: Lijane Davis' small paintings and sketches are hand-rendered documentation of decades spent in the exploration of the wilder spaces of landscape, society, and mind. These transmissions from the life of a nomadic seeker combine processes of automatism, occult surrealism, and deep ecological meditation into windows of her visions, mystery and connectedness, and the universal vitality out of which all being is woven. Further, the artist invites conference attendees to collaborate and connect by offering a variety of printed sheets of the line works to color, write, and reflect upon in a space to think, connect, or simply be.
