Kinship, Kithship, and Collective Resilience

Abstract
This workshop invites participants into embodied explorations of kinship, kithship, and collective resilience through movement and imagination. Drawing on InterPlay and Shapeshifting, participants explore belonging within their own bodies and within the more-than-human world. The workshop holds space for both connection and rupture, recognizing that ecological belonging can surface grief and climate anxiety alongside wonder. Through accessible somatic and storytelling practices, participants cultivate relational awareness, deepen place-based connection, and practice meeting ecological complexity together.
Presenter Biographies
CC King is a Certified InterPlay Leader, regional coordinator, mentor, and Field Education supervisor at Harvard Divinity School. Her background includes art and family therapy and trauma-informed InterPlay, alongside a lifelong commitment to creative activism and reverent relationship with the more-than-human world. She designs workshops, organic sculpture, and public performance.
Rebecca is an artist–facilitator with a background in the performance arts, exploring ecology and spiritual practice through movement and imagination. She graduated from Harvard Divinity School (MDiv ‘25), where she developed Shapeshifting as a practice-based modality. She teaches Shapeshifting workshops and facilitates ecstatic dance, centering kinship, belonging, and connection.
