Abstract
Learn the art of the "borderland heart." In Santiago de Alcántara, we blend the Christian cross with the pagan herbs. True belonging isn't about purity; it’s about interweaving. Communities cultivate depth when they stop trying to be "unique" and start trying to be "relational", like the rivers with shores on both countries which are both a natural border and a place of meeting, travel, celebrate and nurture. "Piedra, Piel & Viento" explores the concept of "Sovereignty of the Senses" within the Iberian Raya. This talk navigates the intersection of ethno-archaeology and sensory memory, positioning the artist as an "Interpreter" of the granite landscape. From the 110Hz acoustic resonance of megalithic dolmens to the technical mastery of the *Meiga*—stabilizing natural fibers with beeswax
and resin—the presentation examines how ancestral crafts and ritual tensions reclaim autonomy from digital dehumanization. Through the lens of the "PES" program (Belonging, Listening, Sovereignty), we rediscover the territory not as a map, but as a living, tactile membrane.
