Order of Bezalel: Covenantal Participation in the Creatio Dei as the Ground of Spiritual Belonging

This paper argues that spiritual belonging is not institutionally conferred but ontologically given — realized through participation in the life of the Triune God whose sovereign declaration holds all things from before creation to consummation in Christ Jesus. Drawing on Exodus 31's account of Bezalel's Spirit-filling and the covenantal fellowship bearing his name, it proposes that belonging is not a theology about participation but participation itself as lived theological reality. Against ecclesiologies of preservation, the Order of Bezalel recovers vocation — making, tending, witnessing — as the creaturely form of belonging. The paper situates creativity as spiritual belonging within the narrative arc of the creativity of God, from pre-Creation through Babel's generative scattering to Revelation's gathered multitude and the city of consummation: not linear telos but sovereign ground across cosmologies, within which creaturely life and all creation find relational wholeness in God and, through that belonging, restorative wholeness in the world.
