Abstract
Performance: “Palindrome” is a 20 min. online performance that reiterates sound and oral storytelling, uniting different myths and creation stories through an audio story-map. The experience awakens a sense of connection and animistic engagement with nature, finding ground in indigenous spiritualities and cosmo-visions that perceive natural elements as alive. In this way, the project explores the interconnectedness of nature, belief systems and rituals in the search for old and new earth-based spirituality.
Presenter Biography
Sofia Kaloterakis is a writer, poet and certified sound therapist based in the Netherlands. Her work intentionally creates spaces and narratives for people to connect to themselves, nature and the universe through vibration and inner work . She regularly offers guided meditations, sound baths as well as spoken-word performances, primarily in Europe.
