Abstract

Spirituality is a means of making sense of the self and the world. Whether to praise the divine, connect with nature, question established religions, or find sacredness in the mundane, poets have explored spirituality across traditions. In this workshop, we will explore the potential of poetry for capturing the divine experience in whatever form it may take. Through a series of exercises, participants will be guided through the creation of a poem. This workshop seeks to open the door to exploring your own relationship to the sacred. It is intended for everyone, regardless of your experience with poetry.
