Publication information:
Abstract
Workshop: The Olmec spiritual consciousness (México, 1500 BC), transforms the Jaguar into a guardian of sacred knowledge, sentinel of divine transformation. This cosmic intermediary associated with the deity Tezcatlipoca bridges the realms of physical and spiritual existence. Inspired by the transformative force of the Jaguar, animism and bio-psycho-magic this 60 minute performance invites participants into a profound inner journey that evoques spiritual wholeness and a reflection. By engaging with playful artifacts and video installations individuals may gaze into their inner animals and 'smoking mirror' and integrate fragmented aspects of the self through the insights of play, discovery and spirituality.
