The Tales of Sincerely, Mike

"The Tales of Sincerely, Mike" is a multidisciplinary art project that weaves collaborative poetry, visual collage, and spiritual reflection across the boundaries of incarceration. Co-created by two students separated by prison walls, the work explores belonging through themes of confinement and freedom, silence and voice, rupture and communion. Using cut-up letters and shared readings, the poets transform creative practice into devotion, testimony, and relational care. Centering the spiritual knowledge often excluded from academic and religious spaces, the project positions poetry as spiritual ethnography and shared witness, ultimately demonstrating how creativity cultivates accountability and collective healing across carceral divides.
