Abstract

Artist Talk: My intention in this presentation would be to deliberate on the cosmos within and the visible universe with “Gayatri” as the Mantric utterance. In this connection I would want to present "Gayatri", as She has appeared in my creative imagination, through my paintings. Last but not the least, my discussion would include the diverse cultural imagination associated with the concept of Gayatri, for She is universal. Ecological concerns that pervade the world today as we abuse Mother Nature would be a part of my discussion. We seem to be continuously abusing “Gayatri” rather than offering our veneration to that principle of Shakti.
