Why We Gather: Soul Lineage and the Hidden Architecture of Spiritual Communities

This artist talk explores whether authentic belonging can exist without coercion in contemporary spiritual communities, particularly for those who have felt excluded or stigmatized. Drawing from my artistic research into reincarnation and symbolic memory, I examine how individuals are drawn to specific groups through recurring relational and archetypal patterns that feel older than the present lifetime, often experienced as a sense of recognition between individuals. These patterns are further explored through a constellation that maps connections across lives. Framed as “soul lineage,” these patterns can foster recognition and purpose while also risking unconscious reenactment and subtle forms of hierarchy. The presentation argues that releasing outdated structures of spiritual authority and cultivating inner authorship may be essential for inclusive, non-coercive belonging in a period of cultural transition.
